Who is Whitsand Safety?
Whitsand Safety's founder is Joe Leigh PGDip LLB (Hons) CertIOSH SIIRSM.
Joe's experience in the construction industry builds upon his family roots, begun by his grandfather who worked as a civil engineer across the UK and Middle East.
Within the construction industry, Joe has first-hand experience within production and commercial roles, and is now a widely respected expert health and safety professional. Joe has worked with national PLC developers, small local contractors, and large regional firms.
Before working in the construction industry, Joe trained and worked in the legal sector. Joe achieved a Law degree at the University of Southampton and a Post Graduate Diploma at the College of Law, working in civil litigation for 5 years on a wide variety of cases.
This experience has shown him the value of people-focussed safety - not as an obligation imposed from the top but as processes built from the ground up. Legal compliance, workforce safety, client satisfaction, and business growth can all be achieved with the right approach and the right advice - this is what Joe delivers.
